And it’s about the final mindset shift that can aid your enjoyment of your job search: I hope they like me.
This particular thought has deep socialization roots. Particularly for women, who — in dating and job searching and everywhere else — are taught that other people’s opinions are more important than their own.
Today we’re evening the scales. I’m sharing how to keep your brain focused on the truth: that you’re a gem. And, that in any job search, assessment is bi-directional — I’ll tell you how to keep your brain focused as much on what you’re assessing in a potential future employer as you are on what that employer thinks of you.
